Berry-Good Spinach Salad




Berry-Good Spinach Salad :


Ingredients

½ cup Sliced strawberries
¼ cup raspberries
¼ cup Newman's Own Light Raspberry and Walnut Dressing
¼ cup blueberries
¼ cup Slivered almonds
4 cup spinach
¼ cup Red onions chopped

Method

Add all the ingredients in a large bowl and toss well until all the ingredients are incorporated. Refrigerate overnight and serve chilled.

Tubule Salad


Ingredients

1 cup Bulgur wheat
1 Chopped onion
4 Scallions, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups Minced Parsley leaf
¼ cup lemon juice
2 cups Boiling water
2 Medium tomatoes, diced
¼ cup Olive oil
1 cup minced mint

Method
In a medium sauce pan, boil water. After removing from heat, pour in the bugler and cover with tight fitting lid and keep aside for 30 minutes. Drain the excess water. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Serve immediately.

B.L.T. Salad with Basil Mayo Dressing


Ingredients

 ½ pound Bacon 
½ cup Mayonnaise
 2 tbsp. Red wine vinegar
 ¼ cup Finely chopped basil
 1 tsp. pepper Ground black 
1 tbsp. Canola oil
 1 pound Romaine lettuce - rinsed, dried, and torn into bite-size pieces ¼ pint Cherry tomatoes 

Method 

Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until it is evenly brown. In a small bowl add the reserved bacon dripping, mayonnaise, basil and vinegar and whisk together. Cover and keep aside at room temperature. In a large bowl mix together the romaine, bacons and croutons, tomatoes. Pour the dressing over the salad. Serve.

Knife and Fork Grilled Caesar Salad


 Ingredients 
1 Long thin baguette 
¼ cup Olive oil, divided 
2 Garlic, halved 1 
Small tomato 
1 Romaine lettuce, outer leaves discarded 
Salt and coarsely black ground pepper to taste
 1 cup Caesar salad dressing, or to taste 
½ cup Parmesan cheese shaving

 Method

 Preheat grill on low heat and lightly oil the grate. Cut baguette to make 4 long slices about 1/2-inch thick. Lightly brush each cut side with about half of the olive oil. Grill baguette slices on the preheated grill until lightly crispy, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Rub each side of baguette slices with the cut-side of garlic and cut-side of tomatoes. Brush 2 cut sides of romaine quarters with remaining olive oil. Drizzle each with Caesar dressing.

Strawberry Romaine Salad I 


Ingredients: 

1 Head lettuce romaine, rinsed, dried, and chopped
 2 Bunches washed spinach, dried and chopped
 2 Pint strawberries, sliced 
1 Bermuda onion
 ½ cup Mayonnaise 
2 tbsp. White wine vinegar
 1/3 cup White sugar
 ¼ cup Milk 
2 tbsp. Poppy seeds 

Method 

In a large salad bowl, combine the romaine, spinach, strawberries and sliced onion. In a jar with a tight fitting lid, combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, milk and poppy seeds. Shake well and pour the dressing over salad. Toss until evenly coated. Serve immediately.
